MomoCon 2023 and Sony Pictures 2023 have announced that they are teaming up to attempt a Spider-Man world record at the upcoming event. MomoCon 2023 is the largest celebration of gaming, anime, and pop culture in the Southeast United States which is taking place on May 25, to Sunday, May 28, 2023. At the event, MomoCon 2023 and Sony Pictures are collaborating to break the world record for the most Spider-Man cosplayers in a single location. This collaboration is taking place in celebration of the highly anticipated film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse which is arriving in theatres June 2, 2023.
The current world record stands at 601 people dressed as Spider-Man which was achieved in India back in 2021 at the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. MomoCon is inviting all attendees as well as anyone in the local Atlanta area to join in the festivities to not only break the record but raise the bar with 700+ Spider-Men, Spider-Women, and Spider-Beings gathered at the same location. The challenge will take place in front of the Georgia World Congress Center near the registration hall on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 2 PM ET.

With the launch of the new film and keeping in view the previous world record of the same nature, MomoCon wants to make the new challenge even bigger with a massive goal and to celebrate this brilliant franchise alongside Sony Pictures.
