Remnant 2 The Engineer Archetype Guide – How to Unlock

Remnant 2 The Engineer Archetype Guide

The Engineer is another Archetype that you can unlock in Remnant 2 that is best for players that rely on using heavy equipment, turrets and more movement when using heavy weapons and deal high damage. However, to unlock this archetype, players are guaranteed to die in the process of getting a necessary item. This Remnant 2 The Engineer Archetype guide will show you how to get the item and what you can expect to happen in the process of unlocking the Engineer archetype.

Remnant 2 The Engineer Archetype

The Engineer is unlocked when you get the Drzyr Caliper item from Wallace in Ward 13. But he will only trade this item when you trade it for the Alien Device found in the second overworld of N’Erud, an area filled with poisonous fog.

As mentioned earlier, this process is guaranteed to have your character killed, but it will ensure that you have the Alien Device in your inventory before it eventually happens.

Start by going to the second overworld of N’Erud and walk outside the fog to locate an area with spiky rock pillars. In between the pillars is a path that you need to run down to get the Alien Device.

The first time you enter the fog, you will begin to vomit for the first time. After throwing up, jump over the gap towards the Technician Armor set. You will begin throwing up for a second time, but then jump down to the left of the armor set to find the Alien Device.

At this point, your character will die because of the fog and you will respawn. Luckily, you will still have the item in your inventory that you can now take to Wallace in Ward 13 and exchange it for the Drzyr Caliper.

Now you can unlock the Engineer Archetype and use it in combat.
