Below we have detailed everything you can expect in the Face of the Franchise mode.

Starting Face of the Franchise

The moment you step into this mode, you will be given the option to select a roster, customize your player, and choosing a team.

Let’s start things with the Roster selection. This includes two choices that you need to choose from. The first is the Preseason Roster, which allows everything to start fresh, as it loads up the roster before the 2019/2020 NFL season begins.

The other option is the Active Roster, which puts you up in the most recent events of Madden 20 with the latest update. This effectively means that future update that gets added to the game’s roster during the 2019/2020 season will affect your journey.

You will then have the option of customizing your character. This is a very basic physical feature selection of your character. Features include Skin tone, hairstyle, eye color, and voice.

After creating your character, you will have to sign with a college team. This is the team that you will play with until you are drafted in the NFL.

Choosing Playing Style

The next thing in Face of the Franchise mode is to choose your playing style. Since Face of the Franchise is all about being a Quarterback, you can have four options that can determine the style of play the QB in your team.

You can choose to be a strong-arm quarterback that allows you to throw the ball down the field with a greater distance and to complete a pass. If you think strength is not everything, you can go for the Field General, which makes you an all-round balanced quarterback that is great in short and medium-range passes.

If you want to be unique, you can choose to be an Improviser, which makes a QB that makes you pull off some trick plays. Lastly you can go for the Scrambler which makes you a fearless QB that are special in taking things in their own and run with the ball. This will update your QB archetype and will basically be your play style from here on.

The next thing you will have to choose is your personality. Face of the Franchise also puts you into decision making and talking to media to answer their questions. This will depend on the type of personality you choose for your character. The choices in this mode range from Intense, Leader, Team Player and Entertainer. From the names, you can guess what type of personality can be tied to each type.

Anything else in the story mode will depend on how your story will unravel in the future. Your choices, your answers and how you approach will determine the type of player you are going to be.

Franchise Combine

This is where things get tough, especially if your focus is to be in a higher position. In combine, you will be engaged in throwing drills where you need to throw a bullet pass towards the receiver. Your task is to bring into the marked circular area.

Complete the series of first challenges which are going to determine your role as a quarterback and your throws to the receivers.

Media Interviews

There are also media interviews that will put you to questions about yourself, and your experiences in the game and team. Your job is to increase your leader rating with each question. The first question asked will be about playing for a bigger NFL team. To which you should reply with “I’d be lucky.” This will increase your player rating.

Any other answers you give out should be to show that you are a strong player and can be calm under pressure. When asked if you are ready to be drafted as a player in NFL, considering that your critiques say that you are not ready yet. To this, you should agree with the critics to raise your leader rating.

Drafting in NFL

This is the final step in the mode where you have to win the semi-final match and the National championship final games. Make sure you play as the team player all throughout your college football career. During this time, a teammate will ask you if you are going to pass him the ball, here you have to ensure that you make several footballs passes to this teammate in the final game.

Another thing which is important for drafting is to complete all the drills in the Combine. Make sure you complete all the 24 drills. After you are done, you will be invited to the NFL Draft to be a part of either the New York Giants or the Oakland Riders. In case you do not get an invitation for the draft, you will be drafter by two other teams. These teams will be Cincinnati or Miami.
