Remnant 2 Bloat King Boss Guide

The Bloat King is found in The Great Sewers of Losomn, where you will find this orb-shaped enemy hanging from a wall, shooting orbs of energy that float all around the battle area. This attack is the boss’ main attack that you have to look out for.

Before you begin the fight, make sure that you know the best place to attack from and how to deal the most damage to the Bloat King. To begin with, you should try to stay away and to the opposite side from the boss as this will make it easier for you to look up. Secondly, if you fall down, you are likely to be killed and will lose the battle. You need to make sure that you don’t fall down or you will either be killed by projectiles or the smaller orbs that will be shooting at you.

Right from the beginning of the fight, The Bloat King will first produce a floating ball of energy that will shoot ranged attacks all around the battle area. You have to begin by attacking this energy orb, which will then reduce the boss’ defenses, and make it more vulnerable to your attacks and will start depleting its HP.

The boss will also not attack you as long as the orbs are floating around the area, but will only do so when the orbs return back and merge with the boss. This is the indication of imminent danger for the player as it will then begin the boss’ two deadly attacks.

The first is the lightning attack that you can avoid by running away just as the orbs make their way to the boss. The second main attack is the pulse and laser beam attack which first begins charging its tentacles and sending out a wide beam attack. You can avoid this attack by moving away just as the boss begins charging.

In both cases when the orbs return back to the boss, The Bloat King can randomly choose either the lightning or the pulse attack. However, this attack can be predicted with a sound that the boss emits, indicating the incoming attacks.

Defeating the Bloat King gives you the following items:

  • 1 Bone Sap
  • Scrap
  • Tome of Knowledge
  • 3x Lumenite Crystal
