Indie publisher Fellow Traveller has finally announced the release date of their upcoming anime-inspired adventure game Kraken Academy!!. Kraken Academy!! will release on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on March 22, 2022. The game is already available on PC, macOS, and Linux where the title was released last year. A free demo is available right now for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One giving you a small taste of the full title.
Developed by Happy Broccoli Games, Kraken Academy!! follows the story of a new student who meets a magical Kraken on campus who gives his time-traveling abilities. After receiving the powers, he is tasked with overcoming all sorts of upcoming awkward situations and uncovering various cool secrets. All of this sets the background for an impending apocalypse that you will need to prevent as well.
In Kraken Academy!!, you will also need to follow your student routine and be part of four different student sectors. These include Music, Art, Drama, and Sports. Different NPCs are found in the school with which you can interact according to their own routines, likes and dislikes, and even social handles. The game will give you complete freedom to explore the campus and even attend various parties while helping out the school janitor to bring down a crime syndicate.
The game will cost $19.99 on both Xbox One and Nintendo Switch and a free demo is now available on both platforms. Earlier, this was only available for the Xbox One. As of now, we do not know if there will be any PlayStation releases in the future however if Fellow Traveller shares any details later down the road, we will surely share them here so make sure that you keep checking back to this space.
