It looks like Epic Games Store will be giving a free copy of GTA 5 as a part of this week’s free game on the online store. A tweet by the official Epic Games Store Twitter account announced the free game, but the tweet was deleted soon after.
A screenshot of the tweet was captured online by many users, confirming that Epic Games Store indeed announced the game for this week.
If the leak was no mistake, Grand Theft Auto 5 will be launching on the store today for free. The game can be yours forever after you claim the copy of GTA 5, just make sure that you do it before May 21 until the offer expires. This is the best chance to get a free copy of the game on your PC, as currently, no other provider is giving a free copy of the game that can be yours forever to keep.
Epic Games Store has not confirmed the tweet after its apparent leak by its own twitter account. On the other hand, if you go to the online store itself, there is a mystery game with a countdown timer that seems to be ready to announce a free game. Whether or not it will be a free copy of GTA 5 for us is still unclear.
Before the leaked tweet, rumors were flying around that the game would be coming to EGS. Gamepressure received a tip from an anonymous source stating,
