Rejoice Chosen Undead! Dark Souls Remastered Nintendo Switch version is coming on October 19, 2018. The launch date was confirmed yesterday in an official tweet. Initially, Dark Souls Remastered for Nintendo Switch version was planned to be released on May, 2018. However, since then, Bandai Namco has remained silent on any news.

Additionally, along with Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered, Bandai Namco will release the ‘Solaire of Astora’ amiibo figure. The figure poses the signature move ‘Praise the Sun’ by Solaire, one of the NPCs of original game.

Before the official confirmation of Dark Souls Remastered for Nintendo Switch, a rumour suggested October 1, 2018 to be the launch date. It was Amazon store, who in response to pre-order of purchase of Dark Souls Remastered for Nintendo Switch, sent out email to few people hinting October 1, 2018 to be release date.

Bandai Namco has remained silent on any technical details of Dark Souls Remastered Nintendo Switch version. The remastered version was designed to give improved visuals at 4K 60fps output. At this point, it is unclear about the in-game resolution and fps count of Dark Souls Remastered Nintendo Switch version.

However, Dark Souls Remastered has already released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 25, 2018. The game looks sharper, stunning and gives 4K 60fps output.

The game is only enhanced visually and at some places recreated in-game effects; such as of fire, souls more blood. However, it does not comes with any add-on to story.

Dark Souls Remastered comes with the base game and the ‘Artorias of the Abyss’ DLC. Originally, the DLC was add-on purchase to base game it was accessible only after killing the Hydra in Darkroot Basin and placed the Lordvessel. This portion was unlocked only after completing story in Anor Londo.
