CHUWI Ubook To Take On The Microsoft Surface Go And HP Spectre X2

CHUWI Ubook

CHUWI is a relatively new player in the market and it is possible that you might not have heard about the brand. The CHUWI Ubook is a crowdsourced product that is similar to the Microsoft Surface Go and HP Spectre X2 but is priced lower and if you become a backer then you get 25% off which seems like great value.

The CHUWI Ubook adopts a U-shaped kickstand similar to HP Spectre X2. Compared to the Surface Go, the U-bracket of the CHUWI Ubook is designed to maximize the sturdiness and it supports stepless adjustment. The 2-in-1 has numerous ports and comes with a detachable keyboard that we have seen in previous Surface products. You can check out the specifications of the device below:

The process is an M series model and has 2 cores so you should not expect too much in terms of power but the Surface Go also comes with a Pentium processor so the performance might be similar. You will be able to do some word processing and content consumption but don’t expect to be able to edit video or photos on the device.

The CHUWI Ubook does come with 8 GB of RAM as standard which is great but it is using older RAM which might affect performance a bit. I do not know why the company has gone with an older standard but I am sure that there is a valid explanation behind it. The device comes with decent storage and you can configure up to 1 TB of storage. This should be plenty, keeping in mind the nature of the device.

The CHUWI Ubook is not going to replace your desktop but if you are on the move a lot and need something to work on then this could do the job. We will keep you updated regarding the device so stay tuned for more information regarding the CHUWI Ubook.
