F2P Ex-Xbox Exclusive Vigor Arrives on PS4 and PS5

Bohemia Interactive has announced that its free-to-play survival shooter Vigor has arrived on PS4 and PS5, thus completing the platform circle for all devices. Vigor was initially released as an Xbox exclusive however later it was released on Nintendo Switch as well and now finally, the game is available for players on PS4 and PS5 and it is free-to-play as well. Vigor will allow players on the PlayStation family to experience the same post-war Norway that it does on other platforms.

Bohemia also revealed that since cross-platform gameplay is not available for the game, players playing on the PlayStation family of consoles will have cross-generation play which means that that PS4 and PS5 players will be able to play with each other without any problems. The PS4 version of Vigor features the full and robust gameplay experience present on other current consoles where the PS5 version of the game takes advantage of the console’s increased power.

The loading times are drastically low on the PS5 thanks to the fast SSD and players can see Norway in all its glory in 4K thanks to the increased power of the next-gen power of the console. Check out the PlayStation reveal trailer of the console below:

We earlier reviewed the Xbox One version of Vigor and we greatly enjoyed our time in post-apocalyptic Norway. The PlayStation versions of the game also include all of the previous updates released for the game as well that include the Hunters, Bridges, and all of the patches and fixes released for the game so far. Key features of the game include:

  • Shoot and loot in tense encounters
  • Build your shelter and vital equipment
  • Challenge others in various game modes
  • Play on your own or fight together
