Playground Games has finally announced that it will reveal the next Forza Horizon 5 expansion this Thursday. This will be the second expansion for Forza Horizon 5 which was released back in 2021 and it will follow up the previous Hot Wheels expansion which was released in 2022. The news of another expansion for Forza Horizon 5 comes at a welcoming time because a lot of fans were starting to worry that with the new Forza Motorsports title in the works and releasing this year, we might not get to see the next expansion for Forza Horizon 5 at all.

The official tweet that Playground Games shared on the Forza Horizon 5 page shows a picture of a dusty area that seems like a Festival Outpost in the middle of a desert with winding roads leading to more parts of the area. Mexico is known for its deserts and open areas so it might be heading towards the direction of Dakar or a more off-road focused expansion like Baja. The whole map in the background appears to be just bare, rugged mountains and off-road sections so I guess that the next Forza Horizon 5 is indeed a rally-focused one or set around Dakar or Baja. Since Dakar is getting its own official game, my best bet is Baja.
Personally, I really wanted an expansion based on Monster Trucks but an offroad and Baja-themed expansion could work as well because, in the end, we will be kicking up the dust and making some big jumps in it. It would be great to see what sort of vehicles the game will be adding to the game as well if the expansion is really Baja-based. We could get some off-road champions like the Pikes Peak vehicles or even more Trophy Trucks which are made for Dakar races. I would even like the addition of Dakar Trucks and buggies to the game because Forza already has the environment for those and we have a few in the game already.
